A simplified correction method for thermocouple disturbance errors in solids

چکیده
When a thermocouple is embedded in material of lower thermal conductivity, under certain heating or cooling conditions, the presence can distort surrounding temperature field. As result, measured temperatures may be very different to ‘undisturbed’ that would exist without thermocouple. This study presents results sensitivity analysis key factors influencing this disturbance. A series heat transfer models and accompanying experiments are used demonstrate effects geometry, contact properties, regime on measurement error. These tailored finite element were validated against vermiculite insulation board, which confirmed accuracy simulating disturbance for inert conditions. Also, simplified version model was calculate error number subsequently predict range corrected experimental measurements. correction method found greatly improve Since does not account moisture transfer, creep uncorrected errors could observed.

Correction of thermal gradient errors in stem thermocouple hygrometers.
Stem thermocouple hygrometers were subjected to transient and stable thermal gradients while in contact with reference solutions of NaCl. Both dew point and psychrometric voltages were directly related to zero offset voltages, the latter reflecting the size of the thermal gradient. Although slopes were affected by absolute temperature, they were not affected by water potential. One hygrometer r...
متن کاملThermocouple Dynamic Errors Correction for Instantaneous Temperature Measurements in Induction Heating
Abstrac t The most commonly used thermometer to measure high temperatures in metallurgy is the thermocouple, but because of its long response time it can be used mainly for measuring time-averaged temperatures. Research on steel wire patenting using inductive heating required instantaneous temperature values. Pyrometers or thermographic cameras could be used, however they are generally expensiv...
متن کاملA Simplified Curved Boundary Condition in Stationary/Moving Boundaries for the Lattice Boltzmann Method
Lattice Boltzmann method is one of computational fluid dynamic subdivisions. Despite complicated mathematics involved in its background, end simple relations dominate on it; so in comparison to the conventional computational fluid dynamic methods, simpler computer programs are needed. Due to its characteristics for parallel programming, this method is considered efficient for the simulation of ...
متن کاملA truly meshless method formulation for analysis of non-Fourier heat conduction in solids
The non-Fourier effect in heat conduction is important in strong thermal environments and thermal shock problems. Generally, commercial FE codes are not available for analysis of non-Fourier heat conduction. In this study, a meshless formulation is presented for the analysis of the non-Fourier heat conduction in the materials. The formulation is based on the symmetric local weak form of the sec...

this study intends to investigate samuel beckett’s waiting for godot and endgame under the lacanian psychoanalysis. it begins by explaining the most important concepts of lacanian psychoanalysis. the beckettian characters are studied regarding their state of unconscious, and not the state of consciousness as is common in most beckett studies. according to lacan, language plays the sole role in ...
